Innovative strategies and solutions for expanding cooperation in educational, research, and knowledge-based projects were discussed during the meeting between the Minister of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Coordinator General of COMSTECH.

According to the ISMI Public Relations Report, In this event which was accompanied by the introduction and presentation of a report on the capabilities and achievements of the COMSTECH Inter-Islamic Network on Virtual Universities (CINVU) which the organize and management of its secretariat is one of the successful projects of the Islamic Strategic Management Institute, Dr. Hossein Simaei Saraf, the Minister of MSRT of the Islamic Republic of Iran, expressed readiness to expand cooperation with COMSTECH, stating: MSRT is prepared to host and provide any support for CINVU, INN, and INSTP.

He also considered the OIC-15 gathering a suitable opportunity to discuss and propose solutions in the fields of knowledge, technology, and innovation in the Islamic world, adding that officials from MSRT would pursue working agreements with COMSTECH to implement these initiatives.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhry, the Coordinator General of COMSTECH, noted that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and COMSTECH continuously monitor the performance of three scientific networks based in Iran and stated: The Islamic Republic of Iran is a leader in knowledge and technology among Islamic countries; therefore, I urge the Iranian government and Minister of MSRT to provide ongoing financial and political support for these three networks within Iran.

He added that to enhance cooperation, it is essential for the Ministry of MSRT to appoint a coordinator and initiate a project among the networks and the Islamic Development Bank and additionally, COMSTECH will take responsibility for supporting one project.

The Coordinator General of COMSTECH continued: CINVU, INN, and INSTP should unveil their successful projects at the upcoming COMSTECH meeting in Izmir, Turkey.

He also expressed that COMSTECH demanding for CINVU to collaborate with its members, the Iranian government, and the Islamic Development Bank to provide fellowships to 500 Palestinian youth in the West Bank who face challenges due to restrictions imposed by the Israeli regime that hinder their mobility and access to education.

In conclusion, the Coordinator General of COMSTECH reiterated: CINVU, under the leadership of Dr. Najafi Barzegar, is the most important and dynamic network among thirteen scholarly networks affiliated with COMSTECH.

Dr. Omid Rezaeifar, Deputy Minister for International Affairs at MSRT, stated: The Center for Scientific and International Cooperation of the Ministry is always ready for coordination, collaboration, and further engagement with COMSTECH, especially in implementing bilateral new projects with investment from the Islamic Development Bank.

He also welcomed Professor Muhammad Iqbal Choudhry's return to Iran as a prominent scientist in the Islamic world and recipient of the Mustafa (PBUH) Science Prize in Chemistry, stating: Hosting and supporting COMSTECH's three networks in Iran will continue as before.

Dr. Karim Najafi Barzegar, the Secretary-General of CINVU, also presented a report on the latest programs, achievements, and infrastructure projects of this network during the event, including the mechanisms for evaluating and accrediting educational services, the mechanisms for evaluating and accrediting professors, and the academic super application CINVU PLUS and referred to the work and planning done for the fourth General Assembly of CINVU and stated: We hope to be a worthy host for guests from universities of the Islamic world at this great event.

He continued by expressing gratitude for the strategic management of Professor Chaudhry over COMSTECH, considering him a prominent scientist of the Islamic world, and added: In Iran, planning for strategic communication between networks and COMSTECH has been well executed thanks to Dr. Rezaeifar, Deputy Minister of MSRT.

According to the report, Dr. Ali Karimi Morid, Deputy Strategic Executive and Head of the Permanent Secretariat of CINVU, and Founder of ISMI, also presented a report on the latest programs and achievements of CINVU during the event.
