The Islamic Strategic Management Institute (ISMI) and Iran Nanotechnology Innovation Council (INIC), in synergy with the Inter-Islamic Network on Nano-Technology (INN), have reached an understanding to initiate infrastructural and operational cooperation.

According to the ISMI Public Relations, the use of the academic super-application “Acalearn” by INIC, as well as the organization of international nanotechnology olympiads for students and school pupils, will constitute part of this new collaborative process. The Headquarters will also launch its official page on Acalearn. This super-application is a knowledge-based innovation developed by ISMI, which is itself a member of INN and Incubator of Iran's MERC.

Reviewing the executive mechanisms for expanding bilateral cooperation formed another segment of the meeting’s agenda. Agreements were reached in discussions among Dr. Abolhassan Imani, Secretary of INN, Dr. Ali Karimi Morid, President of ISMI and Strategic-Executive Deputy of INN, and Dr. Afshin Ramzi, International Affairs Deputy of INIC.

According to this report, the new process of bilateral cooperation had previously been initiated during the visit of Dr. Emad Ahmadvand, Secretary of INIC, to the booth of INN at the 16th Iran Nanotechnology Exhibition. At the event, he emphasized the Headquarters’ intention to accelerate the implementation of the joint cooperation agreement, particularly in synergizing infrastructural efforts and new programs of INN, especially the Acalearn super-application.

INIC is a strategic body affiliated with the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy. Its mission includes policymaking, synergizing, and guiding projects and programs in the fields of nanotechnology, microtechnology, and advanced technologies. Through supporting talents, researchers, and laboratory infrastructure development, as well as assisting commercialization and expanding international cooperation, the Headquarters plays a key role in advancing Iran’s technology-driven economy and enhancing national technological capability.

INIC operates as a strategic institution under the Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy. It is responsible for policymaking, coordination, and guiding projects and programs in the fields of nano, micro, and advanced technologies. By supporting elites and researchers, developing laboratory infrastructure, facilitating commercialization, and expanding international collaboration, INIC plays a key role in advancing Iran’s technology-based economy and strengthening the country’s technological capabilities.
