The Islamic Strategic Management Institute (ISMI) and Oman’s Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MHERI), in cooperation with Inter-Islamic Network on Nano-Technology (INN), have reached an understanding aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation.

According to the ISMI Public Relations Report, Dr. Ali Karimi Morid, President of ISMI and Deputy for Executive Strategic Affairs of INN, in a meeting with the Director of International Cooperation at Oman’s MHERI, referred to INN capabilities in the transfer of knowledge and technology to Islamic countries. He emphasized the readiness of affiliated knowledge-based companies and incubators to engage in educational and research cooperation, as well as to export knowledge-based achievements to Oman.

During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed bin Khamis Al-Qatiti, Director of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation of Oman, stated that Oman’s policymaking framework encompasses a broad range of knowledge-based economy programs that require education and technology transfer. In this regard, he noted that cooperation with INN, hosted effectively by Iran, will be placed on the agenda.

According to the report, the President of ISMI and Deputy for Executive Strategic Affairs of INN, during a one-day visit, met with several senior executives of universities and the higher education sector in Oman. The outcome of these discussions included the expansion of infrastructural cooperation, particularly the adoption of the academic super-application “Acalearn” by Omani universities and higher education institutions. This super-application is a knowledge-based achievement of ISMI, which is a member of INN and an incubated entity at Iran’s MERC.

Notably, the Islamic Strategic Management Institute (ISMI), founded in 2017 in Iran, is a leading international institute in the field of utilizing knowledge, technology, and innovation to advance empowerment in the Islamic world. The Institute, in collaboration with a group of elites and through the use of intelligent infrastructures, constantly strives, by structuring, guiding, and managing intellectually and operationally, to create the conditions for the dynamism of existing capacities in order to achieve the benchmarks of growth and progress.
